Time Place Series

The Time and Place Series are color recordings of places, like a friends home, sites of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill or things, like a daughters favorite toy doll, or the cars in the
parking lot I just walked through. Each painting reflects a specific place
and time and they are linked through my experience of that place and
time. Collected and pieced together the paintings are a constantly
expanding network. Like the rhizome, the collection keeps building upon
itself…one parking lot leads to a building leads to the coffee shop down
the street….the relationships are random, it’s easy to fall astray, like the
internet, but also unlike the internet…the paintings are based on actual rather than virtual interaction.
